Environmental education is fully integrated into our school through various subjects and at all educational levels. We have an Environmental Education Programme and an Environmental Management Programme, both approved by the Teaching Staff Board and the School Council, reflecting a strong institutional commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.

Our efforts in this area have been recognised with the “Sustainable Educational Centre” label, awarded by the Department of Environment, Housing and Territorial Planning, in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Junta of Castilla y León. This recognition highlights the active involvement of the entire school community in promoting responsible and sustainable habits.

Among the activities and initiatives carried out, notable examples include the second-hand clothing market, which encourages responsible consumption; the “Most Sustainable Classroom” competition, which promotes cleanliness, order, energy saving, and adherence to recycling policies in the classrooms; the Christmas decoration contest using recycled materials, fostering creativity and resource reuse; and the collection of plastic bottle caps for recycling, a solidarity-driven and environmentally committed activity involving students, families, and school staff.

These actions not only raise awareness about environmental issues but also promote fundamental values such as solidarity, cooperation, and social responsibility. Environmental education prepares students to understand the complexity of current ecological challenges and to act with critical awareness, thus contributing to the formation of citizens committed to sustainable development.
